For the third year running, Intellitix are supplying Outside Lands festival with an intelligent access control system. Meaning that attendees of the 9-11 August event, at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, will be coming and going faster than ever before.
With Intellitix’s technology, the event’s organizers are able to save time and money on box office staff; track activity; dramatically improve security; eliminate fraud; have up-to-the-minute back up systems in place; enjoy complete control of their ticket inventory; and drastically speed up registration times/cut down queue times – RFID portals can register 2000 wristbands per hour!
This year, RFID wristbands will allow their wearers to enjoy sets by Paul McCartney, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Vampire Weekend, Nine Inch Nails, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Grizzly Bear, and Daryl Hall & John Oates, in the third most visited park in the US.
Up until the late 1800s, the area occupied by Golden Gate Park was a barren wasteland, but after being transformed into a pleasure ground, it has been home to all kinds of cultural events. In the1960s, the park became a gathering place for counterculture, where hippies hung out and rock concerts took place, man.
