The Memorial Day long weekend was Intellitix’s busiest cashless weekend to date, as four of the summer’s biggest festivals kicked off in style over May 22-25, 2015.
Festivalgoers at all four festivals benefitted from a streamlined experience thanks to the deployment of Intellitix’s cashless payment system. Making speedy purchases for food, drink and merchandise with a simple tap of their RFID wristbands enabled guests to spend more time enjoying the festivities and less time standing in a queue.
Here’s a recap of Memorial Day cashless festivals:
Sasquatch! Music Festival: With a capacity of 25,000 people per day, Sasquatch got underway at the breath-taking Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington where headliners, including Kendrick Lamar and Robert Plant, took to the stage in arguably one of the most scenic concert locations in the world.
Mysteryland USA: The festival returned to Bethel Woods in New York, the home of the legendary ’69 Woodstock. Mysteryland is the longest running electronic music and arts festival in the world and this year’s headliners included Diplo, Empire of the Sun and Kygo.
Tampa Bay Margarita Festival: Where cocktails collided with brilliant live music at Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa, Florida. The festival included fireworks displays and tequila tasting, as well as performances from Smash Mouth and Mighty Mongo. Intellitix deployed their RFID technology to take the festival cashless for the very first time.
Sunset Music Festival: This fourth annual EDM fest was held at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida with heart-pumping headliners Tiesto, Skrillex and Armin van Buuren taking the stage.
Intellitix continues to drive full force into its summer festival calendar with RFID deployments abound. Check out the outstanding line-up of June 2015 events here!
