Visitors to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2013, which kicks off this Friday will not only be able to check in automatically upon arrival, but will be guaranteed a smooth on-site experience thanks to all of the Intellitix RFID technology on site. From every GA, staff, artist and VIP wristband to golf buggies and car camping passes, Intellitix technology is deployed across the main festival grounds, campsites and off-site accreditation areas.
This is the third year that Coachella has embraced RFID ticketing technology, which also allows festival-goers to instantly share their festival experience by updating their Facebook statuses, and uploading photos by utilizing various touch points located in key areas across the site.
Coachella takes place over two weekends (12-14 April and 19-21 April) in Indio, California, and for many marks the start of the 2013 festival season. Over 80,000 festival-loving folk are expected to attend each weekend. That’s over 160,000 festival goers enjoying the benefits of Intellitix technology at one of the world’s coolest festivals!
