While Intellitix’s last London event saw it working at the pinnacle of football, this weekend sees the world’s leading RFID solutions company scale the music scene when the Rolling Stones perform at Hyde Park….twice!
The AEG-promoted Barclaycard British Summer Time festival sees London’s Hyde Park transformed into a unique musical space. Launching the series of one-day concerts on 5 July was Bon Jovi followed by none other than the Rolling Stones who also perform the following weekend. Other artists joining the stellar line-up until 14 July include Sir Elton John, Lionel Richie, The Beach Boys and Jennifer Lopez.
The great and the good of the music industry, as well as thousands of VIPs and celebrities from around the world are experiencing Intellitix’s unique RFID technology first hand. Wearing their RFID wristbands, guests are using Intellitix technology to enter the site, and quickly and securely access areas such as the Hospitality Garden, Kings View Pavillion or the exclusive Park View Suites.
The RFID love is not just confined to the front of house, all staff, production, AAA and artists use RFID wristbands to completely secure all working areas. The wristbands, supplied by ID&C, even hold meal tokens which are being redeemed via an Intellitix handheld reader in the staff catering area. Both tokens and access rights are able to be updated instantly, giving organisers complete control over their backstage areas.
“Thanks to AEG, an important page of music history will be written this weekend. This is such an exceptional moment for entertainment in London, and we are truly honoured to be playing a part,” says Intellitix CEO Serge Grimaux.
