Intellitix has been shortlisted for an award at the Mobile Marketing Awards 2012 in the category of Most Effective Mobile Ticketing Solution. The nomination is following our work with Samsung and promoter Kilimanjaro Live in launching ticketless technology in the UK this summer.

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ gig at Knebworth on 23 June marked the first time the technology was used by an artist anywhere in Europe. This was followed by music and wakeboarding festival Wakestock, which became Europe’s most technologically advanced festival after deploying the technology.

Special RFID wristbands were pre-issued and then read on arrival to validate visitors’ entry. At the wearer’s discretion, the bands could be linked to their social media profiles or used to enter competitions associated with both events.

The Mobile Marketing Awards is held on 29 November in London, when 20 winners across a variety of categories will be named.
