Proving that RFID can operate in some of the most unusual environments, event technology experts Intellitix will soon be deploying its RFID access control technology at an event held within a stone amphitheatre, located deep inside a gorge, half way up a river.

Around 40,000 music lovers will use RFID wristbands to quickly and securely enter The Sasquatch! Music Festival, which takes place at The Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington State between 24-27 May.

Not only will festivalgoers enjoy majestic vistas, undulating rivers and spectacular hills but the likes of Devendra Banhart, Mumford & Sons, Vampire Weekend, Elvis Costello & the Imposters, Arctic Monkeys, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Sigur Ros, are just a few acts scheduled toappear over the four-day event.

The Gorge Amphitheatre is considered to be one of the most amazing venues in the world, and has been the home of Sasquatch! for the last ten years.

“The uniqueness of the location makes Sasquatch a truly inspiring event to work on,” said Intellitix CEO Serge Grimaux. “We’re very much looking forward to returning there again this year, bringing our game-changing technology to such a beautiful and musical environment.”
