Tortuga Music Festival April 11-12, 2015 Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The third annual Tortuga Music Festival showcases the biggest names in country, rock and roots music on the white sandy beaches and oceanfront of Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, attracting over 45,000 fans. Chart-topping headliners this year include Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Jake Owen, The Band Perry, and Little Big Town. In addition to delivering world-class entertainment for an unforgettable beach weekend experience,
Tortuga Music Festival and Rock the Ocean Foundation are on a mission to raise awareness of marine conservation.
In 2014, over $100,000 of ticket sale proceeds and donations went to supporting research, education, and ocean conservation initiatives. The festival features a Conservation Village exhibiting interactive and educational experiences for festival-goers to take part in. This year, Tortuga Music Festival enhances their guest experience with RFID technology, allowing patrons to enter the festival even faster with a quick tap of their RFID-enabled wristbands through efficient entry portals.
The Intellitix access control platform processes entries in 1/10th of a second per patron, significantly reducing queues; and manages all event areas in a single system (GA, VIP, Super VIP, Production and Artist Compound). The Intellitix platform also ensures optimal security for events, eliminating ticket fraud, passbacks, and access to restricted zones. Real-time reporting of patron traffic flow at each access point will enable Tortuga festival organizers to best allocate staff resources in relieving high peak areas, so patrons can access the beachfront festivities sooner in a safe and secure environment.
While basking in sunshine and belting out heartfelt tunes, music lovers can also use their festival wristbands to check-in at stations and take fun selfies at photo booths located throughout the event grounds. When linked to their personal social media accounts, status updates and photos from the festival will automatically be shared online. Tortuga Music Festival RFID wristbands are currently being mailed out in the month of March to ticketholders. Start the countdown to an amazing country music extravaganza and to a great cause protecting our marine life and waterways!
