Intellitix continues its innovative ethos by launching the InstaBand, a thermal transfer RFID wristband printed at the moment of purchase at a venue Box Office, Jan 2015.The new InstaBand product takes Intellitix into the reserved seated environment of permanent venues and stadia, offering clients the ability to receive their own RFID wristband instantaneously, instead of a ticket, at the moment they purchase entry to an event.Intellitix technologies link directly to the ticketing software used by a venue, which means that having paid their admission fee, patrons will receive a waterproof RFID wristband. The InstaBand can store a wide range of information, such as the name of the event, the seat numbers / row / section, any special VIP access requirements; it can also be branded with commercial partners’ logos related to the event, and it could even bear the patron’s name.In addition to being the entry access control medium, InstaBand offers all of the benefits of a cashless environment already associated with Intellitix’s RFID services at temporary events. The RFID wristband also gives venues the opportunity to better understand its audience demographics, so building stronger relationships with its patrons by tailoring their experience through improved data. For example, by personalizing their wristband the patron will be able to participate in contests, accumulate points in the venue ‘loyalty scheme’ and benefit from a range of rewards.Interactive options with RFID ‘LiveClick Stations’ give the wearer the possibility to access exclusive event content, social media channels, or information and special promotions relating to the organiser/promoter, the event, the venue or commercial partners.Intellitix CEO Serge Grimaux comments: “Until recently we could only easily deploy our technologies in a ‘general admission’ environment, which saw us transact over $50 million US dollars in cashless environment at festivals, green field events and temporary event venues in 2014. Now, thanks to the InstaBand we can start deploying what we have been working on for more than two years: Smart Venues! Testing this new technology, more than 100,000 InstaBands were used in 2014 and the results were fantastic.“We expect to have our first permanent installation active before this summer and I predict that 2015 will be the year venue owners will start to interact with their visitors at another level. We are very proud to add this innovation to the ever growing list of paradigm changes Intellitix has been initiating in the live entertainment world since beginning operations in 2011. InstaBand introduces exciting options of customer experience and interaction to the world of permanent music and sporting venues with endless possibilities.”About IntellitixIntellitix is a live entertainment innovation company and the leading global provider of RFID Access Control, Brand Amplification and Cashless Payment systems for live events.
