RFID Access Control solution. Managing all on-site credentials from general admission and VIP tables, to artists and production staff, the festival went off without a hitch. The challenge of limited space in a nightclub atmosphere proved to be the perfect setting for the deployment of Intellitix’s user-friendly handheld RFID scanners. With just 12 handheld scanners deployed across the site, Intellitix was able to effectively secure access to all venue areas, as well as assist in managing venue staffing costs. Intellitix Customer Success Manager, Chris Miller, sums up the deployment as an overall success and benchmark achievement for managing smaller venues like music halls, nightclubs or theaters. “In a town like Park City, that doubles in population during the Sundance Film Festival, the importance of maintaining accurate capacity counts and secure Access Control for smaller venues cannot be overstated. The flexibility and reliability of Intellitix’s proprietary Access Control system allowed us to do just that. The support for RFID technology from the local bylaw enforcement agencies here in Park City has been tremendous and their appreciation for what the staff at the Park City Live have done in order to ensure the safety and security of the patrons leads me to believe that we could see this type of Access Control solution expand to multiple venues across Park City during Sundance 2017.” 10 days, 11 shows, and over 9,000 guests in attendance. Billboard and Park City Live brought together a high-octane lineup filled with larger than life acts from all genres of music. This is one adventure Intellitix will be looking forward to taking on again in 2017.
