Canadian Music Week (CMW) is the country’s leading entertainment event celebrating Canada’s expansive growth in music, media and entertainment. CMW spans a ten-day period from May 1 to May 10, 2015 with 1,000 bands showcased over 60 live music venues in downtown Toronto. CMW also recently announced the 2015 nominees for the upcoming Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards. The awards recognize industry trailblazers and outstanding professionals in over 40 categories. The winners will be announced at the awards gala ceremony on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. In addition to hosting the country’s largest new music festival, CMW also delivers a film festival, a comedy festival, three information-intensive conferences and a trade exposition.
